Let Them Know

This week past was, bar none, the hardest one my husband has faced so far. He felt awful from post-chemo day 3 on. He had nausea, was lightheaded, tired and suffered dehydration. What changed from treatment 1 to treatment 2? We need to find out if there was a change from one to the other. He had his last B12 shot at the beginning of August – could this play into it? Was his chemo dosage changed? So many possibilities.

Tomorrow is Monday and I will call Oncology and give them an update on how the past week went. I will do this for two reasons. One, I love this man and can’t stand to see him suffer. If there is a way to make his treatment any better I owe it to him to find out. I would expect him to do the same for me. Two, unless his issues are communicated to the medical professionals they don’t know. They don’t have a clue what is going on. They want a success story not a failure. We are in this as a team.

Any thoughts or experiences to share? Leave them here.
